Coating Powders
Powders used specifically for surface coatings can be produced in spherical forms to improve flowability and uniformity of application. Himed produces its own coating powders and offers on-site hydroxyapatite coating solutions for small and high volume lots.
Granules
Granules of various shapes, sizes, density and porosity can be crafted for a wide variety of applications. Each variable contributes unique biological potentials for healing, and our powders are often employed in bone grafts, bone cements and implant coatings.
Irregular Granules
Varying the particle size, density and porosity of irregular granules can affect a powder’s bioactivity; allowing our irregular powders to be used for everything from bioactive plastic composites to bone cements.
Himed has also created an exceptionally hard multi-phase calcium phosphate that is used as an apatitic abrasive in our MATRIX MCD® surface treatment.
