Company Overview

Himed has been advancing the leading edge of biomaterial surface treatments and production for 30 years.

Since 1991 Himed has been on the vanguard of biomaterial coating characterization. Beginning with early innovations in hydroxyapatite coatings and apatitic abrasives, Himed made formative in-roads to healing technologies that have greatly enhanced outcomes for patients around the world. Over subsequent years Himed has only grown its reputation for quality, consistency, and collaboration; serving as a vital partner to our clients in the medical, dental, laboratory, and research industries as they seek to innovate new solutions for a rapidly changing world.

From our all-in-one research and production facility located in the state of New York, Himed continues to supply raw biomaterials for a wide variety of purposes as well as providing highly customizable biocompatible coating and texturing solutions with our MATRIX® line of surface treatments.

At Himed we keep the end patient top-of-mind; knowing that while our products are small, their impact can be enormous. That’s why we think holistically, considering the entire supply chain from component to end recipient. We remain at the leading edge of biomaterial development because we never compromise on accuracy, precision, or quality. We are committed to producing solutions that help the body heal.
